Party on in Ibiza

Anyone considering heading to Ibiza for a villa holiday may already know that the island has a well-earned reputation as a party-filled destination, with many places to go for a great night out.
Once you've hopped off the plane, headed to your villa and unpacked your suitcase, you will no doubt be chomping at the bit to hit the town and have the time of your life. But where to go first in what has come to be regarded as the party capital of the world?

Your first port of call should perhaps be San Rafael in the middle of the island, home to a couple of very famous clubs. The first of these is Amnesia, which has two huge rooms built for dancing the night away in.
One of these lets the light in as the sun comes up, while the other is a very dark space, so there will something to suit everyone.
The club itself was well known for al fresco clubbing back in the 1980s, as well as an interesting mix of disco, pop and house tunes and lots of foam parties.
However, you might also want to have a look at what Privilege - which is again near San Rafael - has to offer the discerning clubber. This is the biggest venue to be found in Ibiza and is home to its very own swimming pool. It too has built up a fantastic reputation, thanks to its open air club nights.
Another place to go for some great clubbing is San Antonio, often regarded as the best place to be found on the island for a fantastic night out. Es Paradis - situated on the waterfront in San Antonio - is one of the best venues in Ibiza, having been in operation since the 1970s. It is renowned for its pyramid roof, water parties and decor and design.
If a water party is what you're looking for, you should definitely make your way here. Just remember to wear your swimming costume underneath your clothes - if you turn up in just your bathing costume, chances are you will get turned away at the door!
These are just some of the biggest clubs in Ibiza, but others on holiday on the island might be looking for smaller venues in which to enjoy an evening out. If so, you might want to make your way to Playa d'en Bossa, where Bora-Bora - a club located right on the beach - can be found.
This part of the island is also home to Martina, a club where some of the best of the best DJs have turned out to impress crowds, including Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Clarke, Funkagenda, Radio Slave, X-press 2, DJ Hell and Troy Pierce.
Clubs aside, there are also lots of great music bars in Ibiza, which lots of people frequent in order to warm themselves up for their big night out on the town. You will find that a lot of these offer free entry and cheaper drinks, like Guarana Music Bar. Here, you can opt to stay for the whole night if you like, since the doors are open until 06:00 in the morning.
You might additionally want to head to San Antonio and the sunset strip for that quintessential Ibiza experience. Cafe del Mar is still one of the most popular cafes to go to - ideal if you want to chill out and watch the sun go down with a nice drink in your hand.
